Isla De Margarita ....Thought we needed a 'holiday' from traveling! 3 days at playa agua in el Caribe.
The airport! We stayed 2 nights in the caracas airport.....just to avoid going into caracas as we've only heard bad and unsafe stories about it. I still have a sore bum from the bench i slept on.
Cuba
Veradero
One of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world
The truck we jumped on to get from Holguin to Girbara, packed full of people and very hot! Can´t really complain as this is what the locals do all the time.
Panama
Sailing the Caribbean
We wanted to avoid another sleep in the airpot so got out at our stopover in Panama instead of going on to caracas...hoping that we would magically find a good and cheap way to get to Colombia....well with 1 minute of being at the hostel we had agreed to go on a sailing boat with some other backpackers and Fabio the Italian captain. We did ask important questions like...Will there be any pirates? or
Any tropical storms forecast? Fabio had more similarities to capt Jack Sparrow than you would wish for of the man in charge of the boat you were on....but it was absolutely awesome, we spent 2 days in San Blas islands (see pics!) and we only ran aground twice...and that was at the end of the trip...as capt Jack would say ´What´s the problem, man?´ (he learnt to speak english in Jamaica)
