Peru

Down the Rio Napo to Peru.........Fom luxury boats to cargo ships.......In contrast to the Galapagos boat trip we weren´t treated like royalty....we were just human cargo....they did feed us but when the only way to describe breakfast was ´ýellow´´, we were glad we´d brought a few cans of tinned food of our own..... and seeing the kitchen 2 metres from the toilets with the pot full of chicken, feet n all....was another reason to stick with the canned beans.

This was our first view of our boat....on first impression we thought...that can´t be it...it doesn´t even float..but it was!

The kitchen which we went downstairs past the pigs and the engine to collect our meals from the kitchen. Cat is having...surprise, surprise.... rice cooked in river water...with a boiled banana..Yum!


When they ran out of space for the buffalos they just tied another boat on the side and then made them walk the plank.

This was before the boat filled up with hammocks..

Some dice games cards on he roof to pass the time (by the 4th day we we had the option of staying an extra day or taking the shortcut....we took the shortcut)
